Welcome to our new website, CackleCave! This is our website where you can find comics and videos made by us alongside articles that feature other artists around the internet and other various topics.
Our History
CackleCave is the continuation of our previous website, MemeMCAS, which was a continuation of a small niche meme page and differs in more than just its namesake. MemeMCAS was built using Visual Studio Code and completely managed by one person (me) and provided the same content as CackleCave except had a sole focus on targeting the art scene in Minnesota. As time progressed, I found that I needed a better platform to support the content and have it properly appeared when searching for it on engines such as Google or Bing. I decided to migrate to WordPress to better support the page.
The name change came from our initial plans in 2022 where we would have our base meme page on Instagram that focused on a specific art niche in Minneapolis evolve into a page that focused on the whole of Minnesota arts. After focusing on Minnesotan art for a duration, we’d fully expand into CackleCave, which would focus on a general comedy about arts and various other topics.
Our roots lie in comedy and the support of other artists, and we don’t intend to abandon that.
Articles
We’ve created categories for our articles for easier navigation on our website! There are currently three.
- Artists: Interviews and spotlights on artists on the internet
- How-To: Guides on how to do exactly what the title says
- Totally True Tales: Aye, they’re true articles you be reading
These categories are our starting base but are subject to growth as time progresses. We hope to create subcategories as more artists talk about themselves on our page and create a friendly user experience where you can go through 3D, 2D, animation, video, etc.
If you’re interested in talking about your art or getting yourself out there, please feel free to reach out to us at contact@cacklecave.com
Comics
Currently, our comics are made completely in-house by my wife! Our four-panel series is known as Stalagmites and offers a slice of our life. You can browse them all on our website here and feel free to comment on them!
Videos
A mirror of my video library on YouTube. This provides a secondary place for my videos to be stored and viewed. The contents of them are quite 2012 oh so random XD, but that was the year I grew up in, so I blame the internet for that.
Rundown
You’ve reached the end of our post. We have some goals in mind for this website and wish to see it grow into something more than a small niche page, so we thank you for taking the time to read all of this! We’ll update you on the page as time progresses. In the meantime, let’s have fun with this!
